  • Systemic fungicide with protective and eradicant properties, used as seed treatment, effective against common covered smut and loose smut of wheat.

Mode of Action

  • Systemic fungicide with protective, curative, and eradicant effects from the triazole group. Classified as a health-hazardous fungicide. Acts by inhibiting sterol 14-demethylase enzyme in the ergosterol biosynthesis pathway.

Uses

  • Internationally used for controlling loose smuts, covered smuts, yellow rust, leaf spots, powdery mildews, sclerotinia rot, and net blotch on crops like cereals, grapes, peas, onions, chickpeas, peppers, bananas, and sugar beets. No pre-harvest interval (PHI) established to date.
