Zarrin Daneh Emertat

Kresoxim-methyl (Stroby) is a strobilurin fungicide with protective and curative action for controlling apple powdery mildew, apple scab, and cucurbit powdery mildew, with low mammalian toxicity.

Kresoxim-Methyl (Stroby)

Manufacturer: Shandong Jingbo Agrochemical – CHINA
Packaging: 200 g

  • Kresoxim-methyl is a fungicide from the strobilurin group with protective, curative, and eradicative activity. Due to its locally systemic (translaminar) properties, it is rapidly absorbed by plant tissues after application and provides effective control of fungal diseases. This fungicide has low toxicity to mammals (LD50 > 5000 mg/kg). According to the FRAC classification, kresoxim-methyl is categorized as a high resistance risk fungicide (Group 11).

Mode of Action

  • Kresoxim-methyl disrupts fungal cellular respiration by inhibiting electron transport in mitochondrial Complex III (bc1 complex). This prevents ATP production, thereby inhibiting spore germination, mycelial growth, and disease development.

Applications

In Iran, it is used for the control of:

  • Apple powdery mildew

  • Apple scab

  • Powdery mildew of cucurbits

In other countries, it is also used to control:

  • Apple and pear scab

  • Powdery mildew in vegetables

  • Rice blast

  • Rice sheath blight

Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI):
  • Apple: 30 days

  • Cucurbits: 4 days

Directions for Use

  • Apply at the early stages of disease development or as a preventive treatment.
  • Ensure thorough coverage of all aerial plant parts during spraying.
  • Repeat application at 10–14 day intervals if necessary.
  • To prevent resistance development, avoid consecutive applications and rotate with fungicides that have a different mode of action.
Crops Diseases Amount of use
Apple Trees Powdery Mildew 160–200 g per 1000 L of water
