Dodine 65% WP (Melprex) – protective guanidine fungicide for apple and pear scab control. Systemic action with no PHI. 1kg packaging for effective scab management.

1000 gr package
  • Dodine (Melprex) Behavaran
  • Protective fungicide with slight curative action from the guanidine group, effective against apple scab disease.

Mode of Action

  • Systemic fungicide with protective and curative properties from the guanidine family. Its mode of action is by altering the integrity and permeability of fungal cell membranes, disrupting cellular respiration processes and ultimately killing the fungus.

Uses

  • In other countries, this fungicide is used to control apple and pear scab, various leaf spot diseases, and aerial plant diseases on hosts such as apple, pear, peach, non‑fruit trees, and for control of mosses and algae. No pre‑harvest interval (PHI) has been established so far. Peach, plum, grape, and raspberry trees may be damaged by its use.

  • Wear protective clothing, chemical‑resistant gloves, goggles, and a mask when handling, mixing, and spraying to avoid skin and eye contact and inhalation of dust.
  • Avoid spraying on sensitive crops such as peach, plum, grape, and raspberry, as phytotoxicity and leaf burn may occur.
  • Do not eat, drink, or smoke during application; wash hands, face, and exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after work.
  • Avoid application during strong wind or just before heavy rain to reduce drift and runoff.
  • Use only at the recommended rate (1 kg/1000 L) and avoid repeated unnecessary applications to limit crop injury and resistance development.
  • Store in the original, tightly closed container in a cool, dry, well‑ventilated place away from food, feed, children, and animals.
  • In case of contact with skin or eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water; if swallowed or if symptoms occur, seek medical advice and show the product label.
  • Toxic to aquatic organisms; prevent contamination of rivers, canals, ponds, and fish farms by avoiding disposal of tank washings and leftovers into water bodies.
  • Avoid spraying near surface waters and drainage ditches; maintain buffer zones to protect aquatic life and non‑target vegetation.
  • Use within an integrated disease management program, alternating with fungicides of different modes of action to slow resistance development in scab populations.
  • Do not exceed label doses or frequency of applications, as overuse may negatively affect beneficial microorganisms on leaves and in soil.
  • Collect and dispose of empty containers and waste according to local regulations; do not burn or bury them near wells, waterways, or irrigation sources.
