  • Emamectin Benzoate 5.7% is a specialized insecticide from the avermectin group that is used to control butterfly larvae and leaf-eating pests in various crops. It is a natural contact, digestive, penetrating and partially systemic insecticide, acaricide and bactericide of a slightly selective type. How it works Emamectin Benzoate works by overstimulating chloride channels and disrupting the nervous signaling of larvae. The result of this process: Rapid cessation of feeding Gradual inactivation of the nervous system Complete elimination of larvae in a short time This poison has a very strong digestive effect and larvae that consume even a small amount of treated leaves stop feeding very quickly.
Uses
  • This pesticide is used to control cotton bollworm and various leafworms on sugar beet and cabbage. In other countries, it is used to control leafminer flies, leafminer larvae on ornamental flowers, greenhouse tomatoes and lettuce, two-spotted mites on peppers, strawberries, cucumbers; greenhouse tomatoes, ornamental flowers and western thrips on ornamental plants. It has an insecticidal effect on larvae and adult insects and is also effective on hatching eggs. Its application rate should not exceed 200 to 350 grams per hectare.
  • Its dosage should not exceed 200 to 350 grams per hectare. For greater dissolution, first dissolve in a small container and then transfer to a tank. The absorption rate of this pesticide through leaves is very high and its resistance to rain washout is relatively high. The highest losses are achieved after 5 days after spraying. It has less adverse effects on beneficial insects and biological agents.

  • Wear gloves, a mask, and protective glasses when working with the solution.
  • Do not spray during strong winds. Avoid contact of the solution with eyes and skin. The dosage and application period must be observed according to the product label.
  • Avoid repeated use of this pesticide to prevent resistance. The best results are achieved when the larvae are in their early stages.
  • The spray should completely cover the leaf surface to maximize the digestive effect. In case of heavy rainfall, repeated use according to the product instructions is necessary.
  • This pesticide can be included in the IPM program along with pesticides with a different mechanism.
  • In very high temperatures, it is better to transfer the application to cooler hours.
  • It is an allergen for bees and some beneficial insects; do not use during flowering. Prevent solution from entering waterways.
  • It has moderate stability in soil, but with proper management, its environmental risk is low. Empty containers should not be left in nature.
