  • Dinotfuran is a powerful and modern insecticide from the neonicotinoid group that is used to control a wide range of pests in agricultural and horticultural crops. This poison acts systemically, meaning it is absorbed through the leaves and roots and distributed throughout the plant. It also has contact and digestive properties that cause rapid death of pests.
  • throughout the plant Contact and digestive action with pest feeding arresting properties Long-term pest control even in fresh leaves and deep plant tissues Reduced risk of resistance development due to unique mechanism of action on calcium channels Low toxicity to beneficial insects and minimal negative effect on natural enemies Short waiting period (typically 1 day for marigolds), allowing for rapid harvest of crops Easy to use as foliar spray or irrigation methods.
How it works
  • Dinotefuran binds to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in the central nervous system of insects, causing excessive stimulation of nerve cells, resulting in convulsions, paralysis, anesthesia, and death of the pest. Since this substance is not broken down by the enzyme cholinesterase, it has a long-lasting effect on the insect nervous system, which makes it highly effective.
Uses
  • Dinotefuran is used to control sucking and chewing pests such as whiteflies, citrus leafminers, aphids, mites and other damaging larvae. Common uses of this pesticide include controlling whiteflies in vegetable and horticultural crops, citrus, ornamental plants and pistachio orchards. It is also effective against some damaging larvae. Due to its systemic effect, dinotefuran is suitable for uniform spraying on leaves as well as root application. In situations where the pest is active on the back of the leaf or in the inner parts of the plant, this substance is more effective than contact pesticides. The best time to use is when the pest population begins to increase.
  • In greenhouses, ventilation and application timing must be managed to avoid stressing the plant. Less toxic than many older insecticides while maintaining high efficiency and effectiveness Reduces the need for spraying frequency and saves on pesticide use and costs Minimal negative impact on some natural enemies of pests such as predatory mites

  • The withdrawal period of this pesticide for cucumber, tomato and eggplant is usually 1 day and for watermelon about 7 days.
  • To increase effectiveness, spraying should be done during the cool hours of the day and at dusk.
  • When spraying, wear special clothing, a mask, gloves and protective glasses.
  • Avoid direct contact of the pesticide with the skin, eyes and inhalation of particles.
  • To prevent pest resistance, this pesticide should not be used more than twice during the growing season and it is better to use it in rotation with insecticides with different mechanisms of action.
  • Avoid using this pesticide during the flowering period, which causes damage to pollinators and bees.
  • Spraying is not recommended in conditions of strong wind or very high temperatures.
  • Like other neonicotinoids, it can be allergenic to bees and beneficial insects, so do not use when the plant is in flower.
  • It is relatively stable in soil, but has controlled mobility and, when properly managed, the risk to the environment is low.
  • Do not allow solution or dishwashing liquid to enter water supplies.
  • It is essential to maintain a safe distance from waterways to protect aquatic life.
