Combined Insecticide & Miticide for Tomato and Other Crops
Abamectin + Thiamethoxam is a synergistic insecticide combining two active ingredients with different modes of action:
Abamectin (from the avermectin family)
Thiamethoxam (from the neonicotinoid family)
This combination is available in various formulations such as suspension concentrates (SC) or emulsifiable concentrates (EC) and exhibits contact, stomach, and systemic activity.
Abamectin
It stimulates GABA receptors in the nervous system of insects and mites, disrupting nerve transmission and causing paralysis and death.
GABA receptors in mammals are much less sensitive, so its toxicity to humans and other mammals is low.
Thiamethoxam is a neonicotinoid that affects nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in the central nervous system of insects, disrupting nerve transmission and causing paralysis and death.
It is particularly effective against sucking pests such as aphids, whiteflies, and thrips.
The Abamectin + Thiamethoxam combination is effective against a wide range of pests, including:
Thrips
Aphids
Whiteflies
Leafminers
Psyllids
Mites
