1000 ml package
  • Trifluralin (Treflan) Behavaran
  • Selective herbicide effective against broadleaf and narrowleaf weeds in cotton, sugar beet, sunflower, and soybean.

Mode of Action

  • Selective herbicide from the dinitroaniline group that inhibits cell division and root growth. Absorbed through hypocotyl with no translocation in the plant. Symptoms include root diameter increase, meristem swelling, and inhibition of lateral root development.

Uses

  • Primarily applied pre-planting or pre-emergence incorporated into soil. Internationally used for weed control in cotton, beet, potato, peanut, tomato, alfalfa, medicinal plants, rapeseed, and faba bean fields. Soil half-life 57-126 days. No pre-harvest interval established. Kills weed seeds after germination in soil; ineffective on emerged weeds.

Product Diseases Consumption rate
Cotton broad/narrowleaf weeds 2-3 L per hectare
Sugar beet, soybean, rapeseed broad/narrow leaf weeds 2-2.5 L per hectare

  • Avoid drift to sensitive crops; use ground application.
  • Do not disturb treated soil after incorporation.
  • Restricted rotation—check label for subsequent crops.
  • Store in cool, dry place away from food and children.
  • Persistent in soil (half-life 57-126 days); avoid sandy soils and high rainfall areas.
  • Low leaching potential when incorporated; toxic to aquatic life.
  • Harmful to non-target plants; maintain buffer zones.
  • Rotate herbicides to prevent resistance in weed populations.
  • Dispose containers per local regulations.
