  • Fenpropathrin 40% EC (Danitol) – Non-Systemic Miticide for Fruit Trees & Field Crops.

Fenpropathrin 40% EC (Danitol) is a powerful non-systemic insecticide and acaricide with strong digestion, contact, and repellent action, highly effective against the European Red Mite on fruit trees grown in cold regions.

Mode of Action

  • This product is a pyrethroid compound containing active S–R isomers, where the S-isomer provides the highest insecticidal activity. The substance disrupts sodium channels in nerve axons, leading to loss of coordination and eventual death of the pest.

  • Its fast knockdown and repellency make it effective against moving stages of mites.

Uses

  • Fenpropathrin is used in many countries to control:

    • Grape gall mite

    • Grape gall midge

    • Two-spotted spider mite on currants

It is effective mainly on mobile mites, and for vineyards, no more than three applications per season are recommended.
