Mode of Action

  • Selective herbicide from the chloroacetanilide group that inhibits cell division by preventing protein synthesis and inhibiting synthesis of very long chain fatty acids. Absorbed through shoots and roots of germinating weeds.

Uses

  • Internationally used for weed control in corn, soybean, peanut, potato, and sugarcane fields. Applied pre-emergence or with 76% formulation (Surpass) pre-planting or pre-emergence. Effective against annual weeds and pigweed. Note: This herbicide is being phased out from approved lists.
