  • Behavaran Spray Solution Soap is a wetting agent, spreader, and sticker for fertilizers and pesticides on leaves. It increases durability, controls pH, and prevents the hydrolysis of pesticides and fertilizers, as well as leaf burn. This compound contains potassium, which acts as a plant nutritional supplement, and prevents the formation of spherical droplets on leaves, thereby avoiding leaf burn caused by the magnifying glass effect of large droplets.

Mode of Action

  • Spray Solution Soap, or Insecticidal Soap, is a low-risk, environmentally friendly pesticide made from natural fatty acids and potassium salts. This product is used to control soft-bodied pests such as aphids, whiteflies, thrips, mites, mealybugs, and leafminers. Unlike chemical pesticides, agricultural soaps eliminate pests through a physical-mechanical action:

  1. Destruction of the pest’s protective membrane: Soap molecules dissolve the waxy, protective lipid layer of the pest’s body, leaving it defenseless.

  2. Desiccation of the pest’s body: After the waxy layer is destroyed, the insect or mite suffers cellular dehydration and desiccation.

  3. Disruption of respiration and metabolism: The soap disrupts ionic transfer in cells, leading to the pest’s death.

  4. No resistance development: Because its effect is physical, pests cannot develop resistance to it.

Applications

  • Foliar application with water cleans the leaves, facilitates leaf respiration, and increases the penetration of pesticides and fertilizers.
  • For pests like psyllids or aphids, which cause the plant surface to become sticky and sooty due to the secretion of sugary substances, it is better to spray once with Spray Solution Soap before applying pesticides.
  • Also, for mite infestations, which flare up due to low humidity, it is recommended to apply this soap solution several times. It is used alone to control various types of aphids and scale insects on some ornamental and houseplants.
  • Spray Solution Soap is one of the best choices for organic farming and home gardens.
